Moving Ahead Connexions
If you are on a two year course post 16 - A levels, a National qualification or another vocational course - this is for you.
You should receive this in school or college in the spring after your course starts, check with your personal adviser or tutor if you don't get it.
Clips leaflets Connexions
These leaflets are in your school Connexions/careers library or at your local Connexions centre. There are hundreds of leaflets about individual careers, but also detailed leaflets about higher education. Check them out!
Higher Ideas - Careersoft
A software program which has details of all full time HE courses. You can search using different combinations of A levels or National qualifications, or you can search for courses which relate to particular interests or careers. Available in many schools and colleges and all Connexions centres.
Pathfinder HE - Progressions
A program which asks you questions about your interests then picks out HE courses for you to consider, related to your answers.
Careerscape HE
A database of information on a whole range of careers plus other useful information. You can also find out about higher education courses linked to the careers you're interested in. Available at all Connexions centres and in some colleges and schools.
What Do Graduates Do? CSU Annual
Information in chart form on the destination of graduates in the major subject areas.
Choosing your Degree Course and University Information on all major UK degree courses. Examines course content, differences between institutions and how to choose what to study and where.
The Big Guide: UCAS Annual
Lists all degree and higher diploma courses, including combined and modular courses, at universities and colleges in the UCAS system.
The Times Good University Guide 2008
The Guardian University Guide 2008
Advice on how to select a course plus league tables ranking UK universities. These books approach this subject from slightly different angles.

WHERE TO FIND THE RESOURCES
Most school Connexions Libraries will have copies of these resources. They are also available to use at your nearest Connexions Centre. Make sure that you have an up to date copy.
