Currently (as of 1st October 2008) the national minimum wage is £5.73 per hour for adults over 22.

If you are aged 18 - 21 the national minimum wage is £4.77 per hour. 

If you are aged 16-17 the national minimum wage is £3.53 per hour.

Apprentices under 19 are not entitled to the NMW. Apprentices who are over 19 and in the first 12 months of their apprenticeship are not entitled to the NMW.
