PAYING FOR FRIENDS?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CARDHOLDERS:

We have been talking to many of our activity providers about how young people are using the scheme and the feedback is good.  However we have had some reports from local cinemas that some cardholders are paying for lots of friends and spending perhaps more than they should on sweets.

Please note that from 1 October you will only be able to take one friend at a time to the cinema and spend only upto £10 at the popcorn counter.  This is the decision of the g2g Card management and any questions will not be answered by Cinemas.  If you wish to talk to someone about this decision please use the feedback form on this website.

The g2g Card is a one year pilot to get more young people into activities.  Each month your g2g Card will be topped up by Cambridgeshire County Council with £40 for you to spend on activities and interests.  To ensure that the money is spent on activities we are using a Prepaid Maestro® Card with chip and PIN.  It works like a bank card but if it is taken to a place that is not an activity provider, such as a supermarket or sports shop, your payment will be declined.

These pages will be where young people come to for all information on the scheme, whether that is to check your balance or the terms and conditions.  Use our links on the right hand side of the page to find out more.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE DISTRIBUTING CARDS IN SCHOOLS AT PRESENT.  WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR CARD THERE MAY BE UPTO 24 HOURS DELAY BETWEEN ACTIVATING THE CARD AND THE FIRST PAYMENT.  ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BALANCE BEFORE GOING TO AN ACTIVITY.

This card is issued by R. Raphael & Sons pursuant to a license by MasterCard International Incorporated. Maestro is a registered mark of MasterCard International Incorporated and affiliates.
